Alysia has received national recognition for her work in furthering equity and access in arts education. Lee has designed and implemented K-12 arts education and professional development initiatives throughout the east coast. She also has experience in strategic project management, engaging communities with participation barriers, donor cultivation, and building strong community partnerships. As an educator, artist and arts advocate—Alysia has a broad perspective of the arts education ecosystem.

Alysia is a recipient of the 2019-2020 Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellow Award. Recent speaking/teaching engagements include Chorus America, Americans for the Arts, TEDX, Wells Fargo Foundation, Take a Stand/El Sistema Symposium, Maryland Citizens for the Arts, and Maryland Centers for Creative Classrooms. Recent recognitions include The Knight Foundation, National Association of University Women, Stockton Bartol Foundation, Uncommon Individual Foundation, and Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
