Fine Arts Education Advisory Panel
The Mission of the Fine Arts Education Advisory Panel is to advocate for fine arts education through oversight of student participation, instructional practices, and programmatic development and implementation.
The State Superintendent of Schools shall maintain a Fine Arts Education Advisory Panel that shall advise the Superintendent on issues and best practices relevant to fine arts education for the students in Maryland. (Title 13A State Board of Education, Subtitle 04, Chapter 16.02)
The Fine Arts Education Advisory Panel is comprised of advocates for each local school system who participate in the visionary conversations for Maryland arts education. Panel advocates would have strong knowledge of the P-12 arts education programming, a familiarity with local arts organizations that partner with schools, and a line of communication with the district superintendent and/or key school board members.
