Maryland Arts Education Studio is a week-long, professional development program for arts educators. Participants explore and develop personal creative habits followed by arts discipline specific instruction, led by master artists, taught in studio environments to awaken the artist in each participant while providing a deep investigation of the latest artistic techniques. Afternoon sessions offer additional studio time, collaborative working sessions, unit planning with a focus on pedagogy, inquiry-based learning practices, arts assessments and community engagement. Each summer day concludes with a student-centered performance.
